Yashorawaya is the first teledrama in Sri Lanka to be produced based on novel.This novel was wriiten by Somaweera Sennanayke and the Teledrama is Directed by Mr.Nirialla.The second part of this teledrama is based on the book "baladevage Lokaya" by Somaweera Sennanayke.
It's about a middle class citizen who wants to become a high class citizen in society however because of his greediness for money he ends up in a lower position than he started.The story tells us that we need to be mentally Prosperous in order to achieve higher.
